Andy Horry

I am a passionate filmmaker, interested in creating something that conveys emotion and delivers a strong message to an audience. I am also a very keen musician/songwriter and one of the key elements in filmmaking is music so I feel that having a passion for both film and music separately can be an advantage.

Other than filmmaking and composing music, I also enjoy photography and graphic design which have both helped me conquer a deeper understanding in framing, typography, layout and colour correcting/grading.

I recently completed my first short film, entitled Misanthropy, a psychological thriller about an individual struggling to handle an overload of human negativity. I also graduated from Leeds Beckett University July 2015 with a 2.1 in Creative Media Technology (BSC Hons).

My latest film is a documentary on the current black metal scene in the UK which I crowd funded myself and has been released online through my independent film platform 'Tourmaline Films'.
