About Oliver

Oliver Baer does many things. He was the editor of Cthulhu Sex Magazine and Two Backed Books. His poetry has appeared in Hell's Mall: Sinister Shops, Cursed Items and Maddening Crowds, Goodreads Best Poems 2020, Birds Fall Silent in the Mechanical Sea, Danse Macabre, Dream People, Bare Bone, Infernal Ink Magazine, Cthulhu Sex Magazine, Horror Between the Sheets and Horror Writers Association Poetry Showcase Vol. II and other publications. His book of poetry, Baer Soul came out in 2011. His CD of poetry set to music, which came out in 2013, spawned a biannual poetry set to music show A Conclave of Baer. In addition, Oliver Baer has written essays that have appeared in Axel: Metal Messiah, Underground Jeweler and The History of the Wu Tang Physical Culture Association: 1979-2004 as well as on April Grey's blog and Writing in Darkness. His short stories have appeared in Goodreads: Best Short Stories 2019 and three of April Grey's Hell's anthology series. His book, Letters to the Editor of Cthulhu Sex Magazine, came out in October 2019. His likeness has been seen on film in the documentaries, "Tai Chi Club" and "UnConventional", Sinovision's "American Kung Fu", HBO's "How To With John Wilson" as well as a music video by the band Schwervon!. He has been heard on radio for the experimental improvisational music show "Improbable Confetti". He has performed as an unspeakable horror from the depths of the ocean as well as helped to produce Broadway and Off Broadway theater.
