About Alvin
Writer-Cinematographer-Director. Studied painting, printmaking, and fine art photography at college. Self taught in cinematography and filmmaking using disused 16mm camera at university communications department. Always keen on experimenting with image and sound, has had art videos shown at galleries and art fairs in Berlin, Paris, Basel, and Brooklyn. Narrative feature debut The Whirlpool premiered at Rotterdam in 2012. In 2018 won best documentary feature at the Innuendo International Film Festival in Italy for The Nude, a documentary/narrative hybrid film.
Unique traits: Producer-Writer-Director-Cinematographer-Editor-Sound Mixer all rolled into one.
