About Walea
Aloha! The Honolulu Film Office is dedicated to serving the needs of the production community. Our jurisdiction is the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Together with our State film office, we aim to make filming in the islands as film friendly as possible.
Unique traits: The island of Oahu has a unique mix of urban and natural beauty from tropical, ethnic, Anywhere USA to Resort architecture in close proximity to stunning mountains, valleys, beaches and jungle settings. Filmmakers love the diversity available. For example, LOST, the hit ABC Television series that was sent in varied locations around the globe, shot all but 4 scenes in its entire 6-year run on Oahu.
