About Angel
Author, Screewriter, producer and film director, is Chairman of the Board of EGEDA Dominicana, the Association of Writers and ScreenWriters of the Dominican Republic (AEGRD) and the Dominican Film Selection Committee (DGCINE / CDSF) at the NortAmerican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, since 2012.
Secretary (2012- 2014) and Vice President (2014-2016) of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Association of Film Professionals (ADOCINE). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Iberoamerican Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers (FIPCA) and Platinum Awards of the Iberoamerican Film. Associate member in good standing of the Professional Writers Association of Euskal Herria (Euskal Herriko Gidoigileen Elkarte profesională) and Member of the Group of Storytellers Mester and corresponding member of the Dominican Academy of Language.
It has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic with the National Short Story Award (petals cayenne, 1994) and National Novel Prize (The secret of Neguri, 2006).
