Felipe Machado

I'm a Screenwriter from Brazil and I've worked as a Journalist and a Writer for the biggest media companies in the country. I've written three long feature movie's scripts (two in English, one in Portuguese) and I'm currentlyy writing a nine-episode TV series concept. I decided to join Stage 32 because I felt it would be great to meet people interested in helping me develop those ideas.
I've directed two web documentaries for O Estado de S. Paulo. The first, ‘Mordaca no Estadao’ (Gagging the Newspaper O Estado de SP) delves into the history of censorship and authoritarian power in Brazilian media during the 1970s. The second, ‘Um Paraíso Perdido’ (Paradise Lost), recounts the trip of the famed Brazilian writer Euclides da Cunha into the Amazon one hundred years ago. In addition, I also directed the fictional avant-garde short ‘Love 2.0’, a wiki movie experiment filmed live with dialogue improvised by numerous internet users.
