When I was younger, I was brainwashed by Bambi, indoctrinated by Dumbo, and propagandized by Peter Pan. I believed the world was alive with dutiful animal helpers, glittering magic wands, and chatty household objects. When I bridged the barrier between the fiction of the movies and the real world, I realized the way a movie can influence how you see the world. My naive acceptance of what I saw was my first glimpse into the power that the movies and visual arts have.
