About David

David Lee is a 15 years old teen author. He was born in Massachusetts, United States. He is an avid reader and an ambitious young author. He published his 1st science fiction chapter book (4,500 words with his own pencil illustrations) when he was 7 years old.

For 8 years, teen authors David Lee has been sharing the joy of writing through community events, workshops and presentations held in schools, libraries, child enrichment centers and corporate headquarters. His books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble (Millbury), Enchanted Passage (Sutton), Library of Congress and some public libraries and school media centers. Local town newspapers and cable TVs interviewed him. He always welcomes opportunities to share his authorpreneur experience on book writing and publishing.

David writes action-packed funny science fictions. His main audience is kids 6 to 12 years old. Parents, teachers, schools and libraries like to share his work. His author blog has hundreds of loyal subscribers. He enjoys promoting his books and received huge support from his audience and local news media.

To help kids who start learning to read and people with vision impairment/blindness, all 12 chapters of David’s 1st book "Danny and the Portal of the World" are on TTS (Text-to-Speech) and MP3 formats for public sharing. They can be downloaded below for free via YouTube.

In May 2012, David sent President Barack Obama a signed copy of his first book “Danny and the Portal of the World” as a gift. A month later, he received a thank you note from the White House signed by the President. The note was a surprise to David and his response was, “It means a lot to me. I really want to meet President Obama in person.”

When David takes a break in writing, he likes to play piano. In June 2012, he composed and performed his first piano piece “The Nature Symphony” during an annual recital at Alden Hall, WPI.
