Except he's not at all Hispanic, he's Black. Austin has no shortage of musicians but many of these artists have other full or part-time jobs to pay the bills and support their hobby. Makalani on the other hand is a full-time musician who has a newborn child that he is trying to support. A recent Huston-Tillotson University graduate, he has played with musical greats such as Wynton Marsalis, performed classical music at recitals, and plays as the centerpiece of his band dubbed 'The Makalani Movement.'
