I am based in Aberdeen. My first play was performed by a local theatre company Quids In Theatre in 2014, Dreamcatcher. Myself and Aberdeen poet Yvonne Heald began the Literal Lines Production Company, with the purpose of getting our work performed in whatever venue we could affford and with this in mind I was involved in a week's run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 with a show I co -wrote called Pieces Of Eight.
I have a passion for film and screen writing and after two years of hard work myself and Martina Cook entered a film for the Scottish Art and Film Festival for 2015 called First Step which follows the day in a life of an agoraphobic young mother and her son's first day at school.
My second play Requiem for Sarah was performed in July of 2015 again by Quids In Theatre Company.
I continue to write for Quids In and hope to see more of my work being performed in Aberdeen at the beginning of next year.
As a member of the Scottish Community Drama Association I have an interest in the Festival of One Act Plays which are show in the early months of the year here in Aberdeen. At the moment I am working on my first entry for this and hope to have something ready for submission in November.
However I also want to write more film and screen work, after all there's a big world out there and I have a lot more stories to tell.
