About Britt

I started writing at the age of 16. Since then, I 've gotten plenty of degrees and experience doing all kinds of things, but rarely screenwriting, directing and making movies (what I really want to be doing). So, now at the age of... well over 25... I'm hitting the ground running. Instead of dusting off the 6+ feature scripts I've written over the years, I am starting fresh with a new understanding of why writing matters.

With every script, there is a deeper understanding of the "craft" and with every book and video on the industry, I feel more compelled than ever to finally get over the self doubt. I'm here to network, to learn and to support other writers in any way I can. Please feel free to introduce yourself (and don't be pervy - I'm happily married with kids and I like it that way). If you're on Twitter, I'm there too. I don't do Facebook anymore, but no need to be there since Stage32 is the place to be!

PS: If you have questions about social media and building a following, feel free to message me. Happy to help share some pointers. Cheers

Unique traits: Illustrator. Huffington Post Contributor. Social Media Influencer Strategist, 100K Twitter followers, MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy

  • Lemonade: Detroit

    Lemonade: Detroit (2013)
Film (short) by Erik Proulx (Documentary and Drama) Producer Bad news is sensational. It's the stuff of prime time exposes and gotcha news hours. People are attracted to bad news for the same reason they slow down past car accidents and watch horror movies -- It's impossible to turn away. But instead of sensationalizing blight, the film Lemonade: Detroit sensationalizes hope. It is about the disarming resilience of a city that can no longer rely on a single industry for its livelihood. Rather than glamorizing ruin porn, Lemonade: Detroit makes hope, optimism, and positivity as intriguing to watch as a train wreck. Written by Anonymous
