About Sania

I have been working in the Indie Film & Commercial Industry in New York & Los Angeles for the last 7 years, in the capacity of a Producer and Line Producer. Along with creative producing, I am also comfortable with budgets, business plans, casting, scheduling, screenwriting, crewing, negotiating, permits, deal memos and tasks related to SAG, Mayor's Office and the Governor's Film Office. I excel at extracting high production value for films with tight budgets, and have strong relations with crew and vendors.

A few commercials that I recently produced are at : Chasing Paper, Untamed, Animation, Pharmacy, Music Video, CP2, GH Movie.

Most recently, I was the producer on an independent psychological thriller, Butterflies of Bill Baker (released May 8, 2015 and starring Will Chase from ABC's Nashville) and also worked with Oscar nominated director Roland Joffe for his upcoming film, Singularity. This year, I produced a romantic comedy, Get Happy and currently in post production for the film. Managing a cast and crew of over 100 people has required me to develop strong communication skills. Being the co-founder of I Laugh I Cry Films, I have honed some unique organizational and problem-solving abilities. My previous work has won the Best Feature Film Award at the Manhattan Film Festival, been an official selection at Cannes, won the Best Children's Film at Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Best Feature Film at Arpa Film Festival, premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival, the London Film Festival and the Big Apple Film festival.

I graduated from the New York University in 2009 with a major in Film/TV and minors in producing and editing. Having worked in corporate environments such as Focus Features and MTV Networks, it has led me to become a driven and successful team player. As an editor and producer, I continue to work with USA Studios on various TV and online commercials for clients like HBO, Syfy, Calvin Klein, Disney and so on. I am proficient at FCP, broadcast standards and requirement, and new media content production.
