SYNOPSIS:

Selena Danton’s days were spent designing wedding gowns and her evenings with her love, Max and their two children.

Running into Brian, an old acquaintance in LA changes everything.His adventurous nature breathes a new life into her.Her time with Brian is magical and she chooses to keep it a secret.

Fate brings Selena and Brian back together. A romantic night on the beach intensifies their relationship but Selena has promised herself she will not break her marriage vows.Brian respects her so entirely that he does not push her.They vow their friendship and promise to always be there for each other.

As Selena returns to her family in NY, she constantly questions her emotional connection with Brian, and how selfish she is for hiding it all. She realizes that her family are the only thing that matters.But letting go of Brian is not easy when he sends a text that his mother has passed away and that he needs her.She decides to keep her promise to Brian, but that this will be their final goodbye.

Under cover as a business trip, Selena jets off to Brian’s home in Boston.Their first night together is filled with conversation and comfort but the next morning when she goes for a jog, she is kidnapped.She is blindfolded and bound.Her only form of communication, her cell phone has been taken, so she knows she must play along with her captor’s psychological games.Her one option for freedom is posed in the form of a question.“If you could have one thing in the world, but only one thing what would you choose?”Selena’s mind spirals through various levels of emotion.She reflects on where things went wrong.She wants to blame Brian and questions if the kidnapping was his doing.Selena cries as she realizes she is to blame and that her family will never know the truth.

She is ready to give up as her captor touches her almost naked body.With her last ounce of strength she screams her answer – “my life”.Her kidnappers laugh and knock her out.But they deliver on their promise and return her to her place of capture.She realizes there is time to make her flight back to New York.She returns to Brian’s, gathers her things and flees.

Selena is ecstatic to be with her family.The next morning Max returns home from work, wraps his arms around her and asks her to dinner that night.Selena responds yes but where?Max asks her to choose the restaurant that she would pick is she only had one choice.

Selena is shattered as she realizes it was Max.Her husband knew everything.Max sets Selena’s cell phone on the counter and kisses her cheek.

Selena knows that she can no longer just exist as the victim in her marriage. Not yet sure what her plan will be she decides she must restore the balance to her life.
