THE SUN SETS IN THE WEST (WORKING TITLE)

LOGLINE: It is 1903 in New Mexico Territory, when a lawman and a cowboy cross paths in the shaping of the New West.

SYNOPSIS:

(this is in book form and not script) It’s the early 1900’s, and the final days of the historical period known as “the wild west”. In territories yet to become states, there are people who continue their old ways. Among those a new generation of Lawmen, and people that want peace and prosperity. This is a story about two young men, one a famous lawman, one of the youngest in the territories that already has a reputation of being the smartest and fairest of his time. He grew up in one of the most dangerous towns in the New Mexico territory. In Cimarron he has seen the best, as well as some of the worst of mankind in his young age. The other, is a cowboy that has to find a new way to make a living in the rapidly changing era. He has just seen the Railroads forever taking over his job of moving cattle, and his future is in question. These two young men come together by circumstances that have been created by others, and their lives take new directions. The friendship that they create is built on trust and the pioneer spirit. This story tells the tales of good against evil, and what it takes to overcome adversity.
