A Video Diary from Iraq
(
Film
(Documentary)
Producer Ralphie May was the first entertainer the President asked to travel into Iraq to perform for the US and Allied Troops. During his trip, he was given access to everything he requested. Its a gripping story told up close and real. The news was pretty explicit however, this film provides some of the extreme close ups that have made permanent impressions on all the troops who served there. Written by Michael Adams Brookings

FireHouse TV

Television
(Action and Reality TV)
Producer Firehouse TV is the first reality show of its kind; a compelling behind the scenes look at the lives of firefighters. Most of us see firefighters on the 11 o'clock news, usually faceless behind heavy protective gear and helmets. They are the quiet heroes, and their lives are often fascinating and inspirational. Ryan Sutter, probably the country's most recognizable firefighter due to his winning the hit reality TV show "The Bachlorette", and also for his spokesperson work with the Firefighter's National Trust hosts each episode. Ryan is one of those amazing people who is movie-star good looking, is smart (he's an architecture major), is an accomplished painter and writer, and even did a stint in the NFL. But ask Ryan who he is, he'll quickly say, "I am a fireman". The bond of firefighters is not easily broken. You never stop being a firefighter. Firehouse TV is more than just an Emergency-Call program. Unlike "Cops", where cameras only document the gritty detail of anonymous cops ... Written by Bloom, Michael A

Producer Several hosts, noted for their own contributions to film comedy themselves (Burt Reynolds, Carol Burnett, Jack Lemmon, etc.) host this three part epic documentary, which takes viewers from the studios of comedic pioneers Mack Sennett and Hal Roach. The careers of individual early comics like Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, and Charlie Chaplin are covered through the 30s with W.C. Fields, the Marx Brothers, and Laurel and Hardy up through then current performers like Jack Lemmon, Mel Brooks, and Woody Allen. Clips from such all-time classics as "Some Like It Hot," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," and "Private Benjamin" are highlighted. Written by duke1029@aol.com
This Is Elvis
(
Film
(Biography and Musical)
Producer Though several actors portray Elvis Presley at different stages of his life, this documentary is comprised mostly of actual performance footage and interviews with Elvis, his fans and those close to him. His arrival on the national scene ,in 1956, is highlighted by clips from "Stage Show", "The Milton Berle Show" and "The Ed Sullivan Show". Scenes from several of his 33 films are highlighted including his screen debut in "Love Me Tender" (1956) and the critically acclaimed "King "Creole"(1958), his last film prior to a 2 year hitch in the military. From 1960-68 he kept busy by making films and soundtrack albums, as well as some Gospal albums. After an absence of almost 9 years from live performing, Elvis returned in 1968 to do a TV Special titled "Elvis" and in 1969 performed in Las Vegas for the first time since 1956. His Vegas appearances, along with his nation wide concert tours, continued for the remainder of his career. A clip from his 1973 TV Special,"Elvis Aloa", is featured. ... Written by efffee@aol.com
