Independent filmmaker, journalist, producer, and multimedia archivist based in Norman, Oklahoma. Founder of Three Reel Films™, a documentary film and multimedia production company, with a combined 17-year ongoing professional history in broadcast television, radio, and emerging multimedia platforms extending back to adolescence. A self-educated cinematographer, photojournalist, producer, and entrepreneur with a passionate flare towards innovation and collaborative group production efforts.
Relocating to Norman, Oklahoma in June 2015, post-production work began on a long-form independent documentary film series entitled “Storm Chasing: The Anthology.” Following a successful self-promoted social media and Kickstarter campaign, 46-days of travel through 26-states and Ontario, Canada resulted in 72 individual interviews with storm chasers, meteorologists, family members, broadcasters, and law enforcement officials chronicling the six-decade history of storm chasing culture and human relationships with the atmosphere.
With the need to complete interviews bypassed in 2014, a secondary crowd funding campaign was launched in July 2015 via "Go Fund Me". The original goal was met in under 24-hours to cover fuel costs across the Western United States. To date, 110 total interviews have been recorded, with a vast cache of stories and multimedia assembled. This will culminate into a film production and attendant series of micro documentaries to be pitched to broadcast network, film festivals, and online streaming providers once completed.
