Bachelor of Arts in Television production from Pepperdine University in 1987, 4 years as a TV news photographer/editor, cinematography fellow at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles in 1993/1994, Advanced Film Lighting workshop at The Workshops in Rockport, Maine in 1994, apprenticeship with Vilmos Zsigmond, A.S.C. in 1995 , attended the 3rd European Master Class for Cinematography Students in Budapest Hungary in 1995, 20 years as a set lighting technician/best boy electric/gaffer, 18 years as a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 728 Set Lighting Technicians, Hollywood.
