SYNOPSIS:
From The Black List: "This script definitely deserves attention from industry readers as it's funny, heartwarming and would be visually beautiful to see come to life on the big screen in animation. It's FINDING NEMO meets HAPPY FEET and an inspirational story about an underdog becoming a hero." Curry, a little lava lizard, is inadvertently hatched in a nest of big, mean, spikey marine iguanas. He tries hard to fit in despite being bullied by his unlikely littermates. When Pinta Island rumbles and quakes, the iguanas try to sacrifice Curry to the volcano monster, but only Curry can read the ancient prophesy etched into the stone of the volcano base. He discovers that he needs to TALK to the volcano monster, not get eaten by it. Curry sets out to find Lonesome George, Pinta's prophet. Unlike his adopted siblings, Curry can't swim, so he teams up with Eagle Eye, a flightless cormorant who can, to lead the unruly iguana gang across the ocean to the Charles Darwin Research Station. There they discover that their prophet is gone. Thinking all is lost, Curry stays at the research station while his friends return to Pinta Island. But a resident shows Curry an enigmatic message left by George, inspiring Curry to keep trying. With the island volcano about to blow and nobody around to help the land dwellers, Curry bravely boards a pirate ship and hijacks a parrot to get back home. But will a little lizard and a flightless cormorant be able to rescue all the animals before their island home is consumed by lava?
