  • Give & Take

    Give & Take (2013)
Film (Comedy) Director Ellie is an idealistic, young actress living in NYC. She's a very giving person, so when her husband, Mitchell, gets a job offer back home in Buffalo, Ellie reluctantly agrees to the move. Mitchell loves Buffalo, so Ellie looks for happiness there, too. She joins a little theatre company and, unwittingly, winds up emotionally involved with the director, James. Ellie just keeps on giving and others keep on taking! James casts Ellie in a theme park show and tells her it will be lots of fun, and she'll get to do it eight times a day! He neglects to mention the grueling physical challenges involved. The show finally puts Ellie over the edge and, at last, she learns to take care of herself. She returns to Mitchell, but on her own terms this time. Written by Anonymous

  • The Matthew Shepard Story

    The Matthew Shepard Story (2002)
TV Movie (Drama) Actor In 1998, a young gay man by the name of Matthew Shepard was robbed, viciously beaten and left tied to a fence to die. Although he was soon found by the police and hospitalized, he soon expired. This film recounts the events after the conviction of the two men responsible for this hate motivated murder. Matthew's parents, though satisfied by the conviction, are finding the sentencing phase of the trial more difficult. The parents initially want to request the death penalty for their son's murderers, but the mother, Judy, starts to reconsider. As they struggle with their decision, they decide to reexamine the life of their son and rediscover his personality, his struggle to accept his homosexual sexual orientation as a natural part of his being and above all, his generous humanity to others. All of this leads the parents to appeal to the court the way their son would have wanted, not out of vengeance but to represent best of what their son was and the tragedy of his loss. • Philip Marlowe, Private Eye

    Philip Marlowe, Private Eye (1986)
Television (Action, Crime, Mystery, Romance and 1 More) Actor Relying on his wits, instinct, gun and whiskey private detective Philip Marlowe solves many of Los Angeles' worst crime cases during the 1930s. His style is sarcastic, his methods are unorthodox, his charm is adored by the ladies, his meddling is hated by the local cops, his wallet is often times empty and his skull is hardened by the many unexpected blows received in the dark. Despite his low social status, his constant drinking and the lowly company he keeps Philip Marlowe has very high moral standards and a very developed sense of justice. Often times he lends a helping hand to those in need who are at the bottom of society and also to tear-eyed attractive ladies in distress who can gift him a kiss and a drink. The crime mystery series are adapted from Raymond Chandler's short stories. Written by nufs68
