The Pride (2017)
Film (Short and Drama) Sound department THEME - War, Religion and LGBTQ The film "The Pride" unites the themes of war, religion and LGBTQ issues by wrapping them in the values and emotions of one complex family. General Truman, wheelchair-bound and mute because of war, sustains pride in his past military services. He is a widower and the father of three adult children --- Christian, Ray and Jessica. When the army classifies Christian as MIA (missing in action) during a tour of duty in the Middle East, the General is never able to accept that fact. In an act of denial and deception the General writes fictitious letters and presents them to friends and relatives as if they are written by an alive-and-well Christian. Ray, the General's second son, is gay and happens to be in love with the boyfriend (Kevin) of his own sister(Jessica). As he attempts to flirt with her, things don't completely go the way he planned. However, he becomes engaged in a meaningful conversation with her about their cultural and personal differences, and learns an important life lesson from her.

Film (Short) Sound department Benny runs away from something be shortly after his escape he forgets what he was running away from. He then meets his mother, who appears as a source of guidance but Benny is too ignorant to acknowledge his mother's words. The scene picks up outside of Benny's house where he meets his friend, Arny, who seems to be in desperate need of Benny's help to find a girlfriend. As the film continues, locations and situations change frequently as a dream would. Benny is walking with his girlfriend while arguing about Arny's new girlfriend. Near the climax of the film there is yet another situational change where Benny is faced with a stranger who is dressed exactly like Claire. After a moment of confusion, Benny spots Claire with another man in the distant. He chases after them. Benny confronts Arny and Claire.
