About Joe

Joe Wheeler (born 6th March 1982) is an English DJ, actor, musician, producer, and film maker introducing his debut feature film, Jengo; a horror that delves into the mind of a psychopath with chilling and gruesome results. Inspired by Fatboy Slim's 'gangster Tripping', he began producing and recording music under a name he is actually embarressed to mention. Armed with his first set of decks, he Dj'ed to promote his material among other records amassing a cult following in the dance music scene. Between 2001 and 2005, he produced 12 albums, ' We want to Rock' became his most famous hit, attracting the interest of many record labels. At the height of his music career, he decided to take a break from the industry and focus on film making.

Since then he has produced successful short films, music videos and the upcoming feature; Jengo. Based on a recurring nightmare, the character of Jengo was created and performed by Wheeler in an exploration of the workings of a very disturbed mind. An homage to the grindhouse, exploitation school of film making, Jengo is a gory, terrifying offering that will send shivers down the spine every time you think of it.. Jengo, the villain deserves a place on the mantle alongside the Jigsaws and Freddy Krugers of the genre.

Through various promotional material online, Jengo is gaining noteriety and quickly building a cult following. Wheeler returned to the studio to record, dark, psychedelic music as Jengo. Signed by Music Buggle Records (a label Wheeler actually owns), he re released the old material under Joe Wheeler and began recording new tracks that range from chilled out to altenative to hip hop and industrial music which are featured on various online sites including , iTunes, Amazon, Emusic, Spotify, Xbox Music and .

In 2013, Wheeler will be releasing 2 films in cinemas with premieres in both London and Los Angeles.
