About Robin

Robin Jennings graduated from Northeastern University in 2010. During her tenure, she combined her love of music and her flair for creative writing while learning the publicity ropes with internships at Powderfinger Promotions and Adam Ritchie Brand Direction. It was also at this time that she joined NU’s student-run music magazine, Tastemakers, as a street team member and writer – eventually working her way up to Marketing Director.
During her junior year - looking to fulfill her electives and eager to step out of her comfort zone - she enrolled in a horror fiction course taught by professor and author, Gary Goshgarian. Using a short story from that course as the basis, she took an independent study course in film during her senior year during which she wrote her first feature length screenplay, Shudder. It was optioned in the summer of 2010 by Ravenswood Pictures.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry and a minor in Business Administration in 2010, Robin moved back to the New Jersey area and worked briefly in entertainment marketing with talent procurement powerhouse Creative License. She continued to hone her publicity chops and co-founded As the Music Plays in 2011 in order to provide quality publicity & marketing services to independent musicians with limited budgets, while writing creatively on the side. Her short fiction has been published by 101 Fiction, Verse-Virtual, and The Were-Traveler.
