I'm a professional actor, who started acting at the age of 40, when most women were quitting. It had always been a passion of mine. And then, after some credits, we moved to Vancouver Island. I still maintained a relationship with an agent but the cost and time of commuting for auditions made it challenging. Now that digital submissions are more common, I'm back in the game, though roles for senior women are few and far between.
I've turned my creative juices to writing. I've penned two novels and a novelette, all of which would make great films. I was a member of a screenwriters' critique group for decades and took workshops with some of the greats: Robert McKee, Michael Hauge and Christopher Vogel. I also managed to produce a few short films that my grandson directed. We co-wrote the screenplay for one of them. THE BROTHER won a number of film festival awards.
I did have an agent for my screenplays. One got close to being produced. Now I have a new screenplay, THE RUBBER FENCE, adapted from the novel that I wrote and published in 2016.
I am now hard at work on my third novel and other writing projects. My other loves are travel, gardening, and reading.
