About Richard

I am originally from Cuba and grew up in Miami. I attended New World School of the Arts in Miami where I received formal training as a guitarist and composer. I moved to New York City in 2003 and began working primarily as a freelance session guitarist. I ended up playing with many incredible artists like Lauryn Hill and Paquito D'Rivera as well as the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.

Throughout this time I cultivated my interests in audio engineering and music production. I have always composed music as far back as I can remember but I did not officially work on my first short until 2012. From there forward I knew that I wanted to focus on my career as a film composer and not just as a guitarist.
I have currently scored 7 short films. Some of which are still in post.

Unique traits: Versatility and originality. Professionalism and timeliness.
