About Garison

I started writing when I was nine. Poems and short stories, mostly. I considered making a career of writing several times, but actually trying to do so quickly disabused me of that notion.

I switched to screenplays in the mid-1990s. The reasons for that comprise a long ugly story. To be brief, a great Hawaii-based TV show was canceled before the end of the first season, and a horrible, offensive one was sold into syndication. I took it upon myself to show the world what a proper TV show based in Hawaii should look like. Everyone loved it ... except the investors.

So I started on features. Seven completed, plus two Christmas stories, as of the date of this writing (probably more at the time you are reading this). Three for-hire projects, one that actually got made. But I didn't leave TV alone. In addition to the Hawaii script, I have six others, plus one in Japanese. And so many features and teleplays waiting to be written, I can't begin to count them.
