A former child star returns to Hollywood as a writer and tries to fit in.

SYNOPSIS:

Ex-Kid is a half-hour situation comedy about a former child television star named Ken Schaffer who returns to Hollywood 35 years after his mother took him away from the lifestyle to live a normal childhood in Indiana. Ken grows up to join the U.S. Army, retiring after over 20 years of active service, and decides that it’s time to go back to Hollywood to become a writer. Along the way, he must deal with a father who was also his agent as well as an ex-wife who won’t stop calling and a teenage daughter who thinks that she may be the better manager in the family.
