About Scott



Scott Ennis is a screenwriter, a filmmaker, a lyricist, and a poet.
He has written more sonnets than William Shakespeare and he is on track to write more screenplays (40) than Shakespeare’s plays (37). Scott’s sonnets have appeared in numerous journals and books. He currently resides in Ocean Shores, WA. Scott is a sub 3 hour marathon runner and an Ironman triathlete.

Scott completed the Philadelphia Marathon in 2009 for a PR of 2:51:55 and the Ironman Triathlon in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for a PR of 10:51:58

Bio: Scott was born near Seattle and was raised all over the country due to his father’s career in the Navy. Residences growing up include: Hawaii, Connecticut, Virginia, California, Idaho, Utah, and Connecticut again, where he graduated high school. After graduation Scott enlisted in the Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer. Scott attended Airborne (parachuting) School at Fort Benning, Georgia and Special Forces (Green Beret) school at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Upon leaving Fort Bragg, Scott completed a 2 year missionary assignment for his church in South Africa, where he became fluent in the Afrikaans language. Upon returning to the USA Scott completed a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. While studying at Weber State Scott began seriously writing poetry.

In 2010 while training for a shot at the Ironman World Championships, Scott was in a near-fatal accident from which he sustained a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Scott has enrolled at Academy of Art University to obtain his MFA in screenwriting and plans to eventually write more screenplays than Shakespeare’s plays.

Unique traits: Ironman triathlete. Sub-3 hour marathon runner.
