I'm available for writing assignments, networking and helping others in anyway I can. My screenplays, which include shorts, a romantic drama and a romantic comedy have placed highly in competitions including PAGE international screenwriting contest, Screencraft comedy script competition and the Hollywood screenplay contest. I'm currently a semi-finalist in the stage 32 Happy Writers TV fellowship with my television pilot Mindwalkers, an action adventure series with strong female characters. I want to realize its potential and further develop Mindwalkers along with my other tv pilot idea called Frankie saves the World (A little bit at a time). Again it's an action series but with a fantasy element. I love most genre's of film and have a soft spot for comedy horror films. I absolutely adore them. For me it's escapism at its best. This is such a great opportunity and a fantastic site to be part of. Please come and say hi. Christine
Hi, Christine! Sounds like you're doing well. Congrats on all the success, and I hope there's a lot more to come!
Hi Christine, I'm fine. I am writing a series and finished the script of an average film based on a short story that I wrote called "An Angel Who Loved"
Hi Christine, I'm from Italy. I started writing screenplays only recently; it's not an easy journey but I like it.

Before turning all of my efforts toward my screenwriting dreams, I broke into the entertainment business via the unscripted route, working my way up from Logger to Story Producer. While scripted is my first love, I'm very grateful for the hands-on experience with networks, development and deadlines that reality TV gave me. I was fortune enough to work on some fantastic shows like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, God Or The Girl, Boston's Finest and Tough Enough & Legends' House for the WWE. I even wrote copy for Steve Austin! I also run a podcast, the Handsome Timmy D Express, on screenwriting and the creative life. I've interviewed many professionals from all walks in the entertainment business. More information can be found on my page and if you check it out, I very much hope you enjoy it. In addition to the features I'm writing, I'm also developing several pilots. One of those found some fantastic representation thanks to Stage 32. This website is one giant tremendous networking opportunity as well as being a goldmine of insight & experience from the many professionals you can find here. It's not an exaggeration for me to say Stage 32 has helped me accelerate my career and I hope it does the same for you. Keep fighting the good fight!!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
Welcome aboard mate...
Thanks for sharing Tim... it's awe-inspiring what you've accomplished so far through your hard work. Great to have you here with us.

When I was a little and visited her, we'd stay up late watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers; Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse; Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly, Gregory Peck...well, you get the idea. Those movies still live in me today. They helped me to understand the expressive power of dance and the enduring power of a good story told well. They helped to shape my sensibility. I'm Andrea Higgins, a dancer, dance educator, and choreographer based about halfway between Boston and Providence. I have worked in classical and contemporary genres of dance as a performer, and have experience teaching and choreographing for all ages and levels of ability. I am especially good working with kids, and have choreographed hundreds of children's productions. I have also done a couple of more serious choreography commissions, and would like to do more work with dance and movement for film and theater. I am a certified teacher of the Feldenkrais Method of movement. My VO experience includes several web books that focus on this mind body method. My film work includes featured supporting roles in two short films, Giddy in Love and Morris' the latter of which will be on the festival circuit in 2016. I joined Stage 32 so that I could sign up for a screenwriting class, and have been so impressed with the positive and genuine nature of the posts I have read so far. I am happy to be here with you all.
People have told me before, but somehow the phrase "you are a writer" has more credibility when it is preceded by "Bam." Thanks, Tomasz!
_Everything_ means more when preceded by "Bam." Or at least that's the reason my niece gives when asked why she does it. ;-)
Haha, your niece and I are kindred spirits, so it seems. :) I tend to save my "bams" for a special occasion. If you abuse it, its value will diminish.
After a long hard year or so fighting health problems and family issues I am back and raring to go. Lots of projects to develop and lots of acting to get back into. It's what I love doing and have missed it so much. Check out my profile if you want to see what exactly I am up to or have been up to. Have a great weekend everyone and all the best.
Welcome back.
Thanks Zlatan. Appreciate the kind words
Kenneth I couldn't agree more. Thank you.

I recently switched to pop voice training so my range is now D#2 to A5. I am currently finishing up my first professionally recorded EP. My genre is indie/pop with a little bit of country, and folk influence. I was born in New York, raised in Paris and moved to the UK about 4 years ago before which I had been acting in short films, National Youth Theatre, and Nation Youth Music. I am writing a score for an animated short film for the Marvin Hamlisch Soundtrack Competition. My scores tend to be epic and melodic but I can write in any style including Celtic / Bollywood ... well you never know! I'd like to work on both film /video soundtrack projects, marketing and distribution for my EP, and interested in acting in or around London. Examples of my music and acting etc on Stage 32. Chase
hey, welcome to Stage32; good to have you with us.
Thanks Andrea. I like your Awake Nap concept. I started doing TM when I was very young and find it helpful! Lets stay in touch. Best Chase

Expand postGood morning! I am the artistic director of a small theatre company that I founded in 2012. We're located in a college town (Columbia, MO), and so the vibe in town is liberal and very supportive of the arts. Live music and film rule the roost around here, but companies like mine are making great inroads for theatre. My company, Talking Horse Productions, produces small-cast shows in a black box setting, with representational sets, strong scripts, and powerful characters. We recently have produced SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, an original script written by a local playwright called THE SUDDEN GLIDE, and GOOD PEOPLE. We also host touring shows, including this weekend's O'KEEFFE!, out of Dallas with Flower and Bone Productions and starring Carolyn Wickwire. We have our 2015 season chosen, and I'm currently putting together a 2016 possible slate. Life is busy, but good! I read new scripts all the time, and our company has produced several original works since we started. I miss acting and traveling, which is what I was doing before founding this company. I'm hoping that eventually I'll get to the point where I can occasionally take an acting contract and leave an assistant to keep the company going for short periods of time, but we're not there yet!
LOL... that does leave a lot to the imagination. LOL!

Expand commentDear Ed... I joined Stage 32 just two days ago and somehow stumbled upon your post from two years ago. I had to respond because you mention Carolyn Wickwire. I recently worked with Carolyn on a short film called "Morris," written and directed by Nina Kotyantz. Carolyn was amazing--professionally and personally. She gives a sensitive and powerful performance in this beautiful short, which is now in post-production. I know that Nina (an incredible talent in her own right) searched far and wide for the right actress to play the lead in her directorial debut. For those who will be on the Short Film Festival circuit this Spring, I encourage you to keep an eye out for a "Morris" screening. Carolyn's performance should not be missed.
Ed I see that the Theater group has been busy this past spring. I am happy to see it going well. I have been busy mostly with commercial copy auditions and one movie that I play a grandfather in seeking funding. I did enjoy our lunch at The Heidleberg. I wish you continued success. Rick
