About Ava

Ava Marie Carmichael is an East Coast-based Fashion Designer, Costume Designer, and Stylist for Film, Theater, Print, and Commercials. First performing in musicals when she was 15 years old, Ava has remained committed to the arts ever since. She turned her love of theater into a passion for using clothes and fashion to craft visual stories.

Since 2006, she has designed collections for multimillion-dollar brands with many of her styles seen extensively across the United States and worn by such celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Isabella Revel (‘Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, Dawn’ on Nickelodeon, and Miley Cyrus.

Her film credit highlights include the multi-award-winning Feature ‘Float’ and most recently, ‘Little Sicily’, a Short period piece based on immigrant life in 1950s Wilmington, DE. Her credits also include commercials (Campbell’s/V8/Pepperidge Farms), and she has worked with such actors as Lauren Cohan (‘The Walking Dead’), Ken Davitian (‘Borat’), Gregory Itzin (’24’), and Cristine Rose (Heroes’).

Although her talents have demanded she branch out into other fashion-related fields, costume design has remained one of Ava’s most fervent loves.

    Ain't Over 'til It's Over (2005)
Film (Short and Comedy) Costume designer The lines are drawn and stakes final as Adam and Laura go up for the same promotion. They work for a faceless accounting firm with several zany co-workers who all peek their interests or their hands into the broiling confrontation. Adam and Laura each dream a hilariously enticing dream of the office as they themselves would run it. A scheming office mate with a very interesting deformity enters the picture, and spins a wicked web of mayhem. The stage is set, and when the outcome is revealed it goes to show that nothing is truly over until it is over. Written by Anonymous
