About Ken

I've been doing Music videos and documentaries but with my love for film, I'm now venturing into film and currently working to do my first own short film.
After my first short film, I got to work with other producers to produce their works and have been blessed to produce a few more short films of my own one of which was nominated for two competitions, "Alliance Francaise Smart Phone Film Challenge", and the Kenya Film Commission Mobile Phone Film Competition.
I am still growing in the film industry and planning to start work on my very own feature film soon.

Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer, editor MUSIC VIDEO: The idea was a hip hop RnB song and it's set surrounding a crazy party going on. This is where it all started. This is the music video that got people to recognize me and my video production talent. Kiambi ent.

  • Disappear

    Disappear
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer MUSIC VIDEO. After many fans asked The Smoggiz why they had gone quiet in music, this concept was brought out and the idea behind the song was to tell their fans that they are still there. The video was a simple shoot around some parts of Dandora estate. Kiambi ent.

  • Mental

    Mental
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer MUSIC VIDEO: This video we basically shot after I had moved to Langata estate in Nairobi and when Eethur and Roba Mwenyeji approached me for the shoot, I thought it would be a great idea to just shoot it behind the apartments where i lived and around the estate. Kiambi ent.

  • Bad Influence

    Bad Influence
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer, editor MUSIC VIDEO: The songs concept basically speaks for itself and with the video what I did was just a simple montage kind of video with some parts showing guys gambling behind an alley while drinking and smoking. The simplicity helped it impact more. Kiambi ent.

  • Cruel Expectations

    Cruel Expectations
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer MUSIC VIDEOS: This song was basically bringing France and Kenya together with a translation at the chorus from French to Sheng/Swahili slung. The video was basically simple and what we did was paste newspaper pages on the background of one of the scenes then got some clips from Kibera slums and streets of France which were incorporated into the video. Kiambi ent. Comments

  • Locomotion

    Locomotion
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer, editor MUSIC VIDEO: The song basically talks about people always doing the same things over and over, imitating each other leaving no chance for change or improvement. For the video we just basically tried to follow some of the lyrics, added some dancers, we see Kenyan science walking around the streets just looking at what's happening around him and we hyped it all up with some cool graphics. Kiambi ent.

  • Jobless Corner

    Jobless Corner
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer, editor MUSIC VIDEO: Rotten rhymer of the Smoggiz agitated by the how the employment situation is here in Kenya came up with this song which he used to express his thoughts and feelings. the video basically sees him in different places either walking, rapping, contemplating and even watching news on Television and getting angry. We also see a young man move from graduation status and deteriorate slowly to drug abuse. Kiambi ent.

  • Wana Nini

    Wana Nini
Video Director, Cinematographer MUSIC VIDEO: This track was basically asking other artistes what they think they have for them to show off like they do. It was partly a hate track. For the video we went with a simple black n white concept with just a couch where we see all the artistes randomly sit on and at times they are just disorganized all over the place. The idea was just to bring out a bit of disorganization and while still looking great and the black and white did the video a lot of justice. Kiambi ent.

  • Mizani Niko Juu

    Mizani Niko Juu
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer, editor MUSIC VIDEO: The song is just a message to all out there that they are the best at what they do. The video was also a simple concept based basically around a local basketball court in Buru buru and another one in Umoja estate's in Eastlands Nairobi. The basket ball idea was mainly to give it a street feel. Kiambi ent.

  • One In a Million

    One In a Million
Video by Kiambi Entertainment / Ken Kiambi Director, Cinematographer MUSIC VIDEO: This was one of the best songs I ever got to do a music video for. The message in the song was on point dedicated to women and so we went for a shoot in a small district in Kenya where F.G.M is still highly practiced. It was both personal, emotional and so much fun to do. Kiambi ent.
