Paddy Hayes is one of Ireland's leading drama and documentary filmmakers based in Galway, on the West Coast of Ireland. His editorial line is simple - he makes documentaries that are dramatic, and dramas that have something to say...
As producer, Hayes's most recent drama triumph, EIPIC was described by the Irish Times as 'one of the best things on Irish TV' and the second season of his award-scooping Corp + Anam was broadcast on TG4 to glowing acclaim in 2015. Our latest short film Rúbaí premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and has scooped no fewer than eight short film awards internationally since.
Hayes directed the IFTA winning documentaries Ceolchuairt and Am an Ghátair, in 2013 and 2014 respectively, and his short documentary The Hood & the Collar, won the Best Documentary Award at the Galway Film Fleadh, 2013.
Prior to becoming an Indie filmmaker, Hayes previously worked in the role as Production Manager with the Irish Film Board and he is the author of 'Breakout', the story of Famous Irish Prison Escapes for the O'Brien Press.
