After many years on the road as a stand-up comedian, I settled in Las Vegas and worked in the publishing and engineering fields as a copyright specialist, editorial assistant, and office administrator, respectively. Trading comedy for theatre, I worked for four nonprofit production companies as a backstage technician, actor, playwright, and director (volunteer), company board member and executive secretary (elect), stage manager and publicist (contract hire), and play reviewer (freelance). Author of two published corporate style guides and brand manuals, my generic style guides on have over 2,000 unsolicited views, plus over 500 downloads since August 2015. After five years in the casino marketing industry as an internal creative agency proofreader and copywriter, I went back to freelancing as a content writer and dissertation proofreader. As the creator/social media administrator of the Las Vegas Stand-Up Comedy Group and Las Vegas Theatre Forum (ACT Vegas), I continue to promote local comedy and theatre productions. Currently contracted as an English Subtitle Editor/Proofreader, I provide television and film (broadcast and non-broadcast) subtitling services, including ENG-ENG transcription, hard-of-hearing (HOH) and closed captioning, editing, and time cueing, for SDI Media clients Red Bull TV and NBC.
