UK born, Melbourne based Producer Jane Liscombe has been producing for 17 years, working across all mediums such as commercials, documentary, film and television.
After beginning her career as a 3rd AD on the TV series Rick Mayall Presents for Granada Television, then completing an internship at Cruise Wagner Productions, Paramount, Jane has since worked her way up through the various roles of production into the role of Producer, in which she has 17 years of experience.
Joining Exit films in 2000, Jane teamed up with Director Glendyn Ivin, creating award winning commercials, music videos and most notedly the short film Cracker Bag, winning the coveted Palme D’or at Cannes, along with two AFI’s.
Jane worked as associate producer on Glendyn’s debut feature film Last Ride, and also produced a comedy documentary, Save Your Legs!
Beaconsfield was Jane’s first credit as a producer on a Telemovie, working alongside veteran producer John Edwards of Southern Star. The production was nominated for an AACTA award and a LOGIE in 2013.
THE MULE, Jane’s first feature film, is a blackly comedic crime-drama shot in Bangkok and Melbourne, written by Leigh Whannell & Angus Sampson. THE MULE stars Hugo Weaving, amongst other amazing talent. It is being distributed by eOne, and had huge success during its' recent elevated digital release in November 2014 on iTunes, where it went to number one on the indie release charts in both America and Australia.
Strike Pictures, founded by Jane Liscombe and Hamish Macdonald in August 2014, is working with Matchbox Pictures to establish a high quality branded content production model. Strike is also focussed on developing new exciting models of distribution through both the TV networks and the myriad of multi-platforms now available to audiences.
Jane Says is Jane Liscombe’s Freelance Producing service. Having left the Exit Films family after 15 years, Jane is now available as a freelance producer.
