Amanda Atkins

After acting for twenty five years in film, tv, theatre and radio in the UK, (stage name Amanda Garwood) I have now settled in France with my husband Joe Atkins and our four children following a year travelling Europe in a converted bus.
Once in France, Joe and I decided to set up "43 Pictures", a small independent film company dedicated to making story-driven, character based films.
The film company comes under the umbrella of Joe's design company 43 Media.
Joe's history is as a lighting and set designer
"If you ever get to heaven" is our first feature film - with post production completed last year, we are following the route of self distribution through Fillim.org.
"If you ever get to heaven" is a quirky road movie following the adventures of two sisters,three children, a monk and Elvis as they make their way across France and Spain along the old pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela...in a VW camper. Touching and funny by turn, and beautifully shot by award-winning cinematographer Kyle Heslop, "If you ever get to heaven" marks the directorial debut of my husband Joe...Naturally I have a great part in it too!
