Backstage at "Ορνιθες" or "birds" by Aristophanes at Epidavros, August 2012. The cast are rehearsing one of the songs they sing live in the show, called "φίλτατε μου ανθρωπάκο" or "my dearest little man", written by Manos Xatzidakis. They do so under the watchful eye - or rather the hearful ear of music instructor and supervisor on the show, Alexios Priftis.

The Blue Elephant build

The Blue Elephant is a massive airplane I designed for my new animated short movie. It's very much a character in the story, and also the main set. There's still a lot to be done, but there's also a lot already in place, so you should treat this as work in progress.

Eimai kala - "I 'm fine"

I put this video together for the theatre production "Tromopolis" , a funky satire about where things are now, and where they are going. Written by Vaggelis Nasis and Nikos Ioannidis, and directed by Yannis Kakleas this was a unique play, where traditional theatre met video art. Epidavros under water

"Ορνιθες" "the birds" written by Aristophanes in 414 BC, produced by the municipal district theatre of Crete and directed by Yannis Kakleas were scheduled for two shows at the open air ancient theatre of Epidavros in august 2012. The first show went great, the second was cancelled. The official reason for the cancellation, was, heavy rain. The truth is, since it had stopped raining a good two hours before curtain time, that the people responsible did absolutely nothing to protect this...

This is a clip from "όρνιθες" or "the birds", a comedy written by Aristophanes in 414 BC. The 2012 version is produced by the municipal district theatre of Crete. Directed by Yannis Kakleas, music by Manos Xatzidakis, sets by Manolis Pantelidakis, costumes by Valia Margariti and Manolis Pantelidakis, choreography by Kyriakos Kosmidis, lighting design by George Tellos, musical supervision and instruction by Alexios Priftis, video projections by Nick Dimitriadis.
