About Michael

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Mike picked up his first 35mm still camera at the age of twelve. He spent the next several years studying and experimenting with photography on his classic Canon AE-1.

​ Mike began his career working as a local Cinematographer and Lighting Designer in Northern California. He has established skills in film formats ranging from Super8 to Anamorphic 35mm, and a wide range of digital formats. His extensive background in lighting has led him to working with clients like FOX, Amazon, Netflix,  projects such as 'American Horror Story',  and the film '6 Balloons' which premiers at SXSW in 2018. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematography and is currently based out of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
