GENRE: Period Piece
LOGLINE:

A Texas boy rises from Border Patrol to the most powerful lobbyist in Washington

despite a murder charge and party opposition.

SYNOPSIS:

Harlon Carter overcomes a murder charge to become a border patrol officer, following in his father’s footsteps – and eventually lead that department. Joining the NRA while still a boy, he later becomes a member of its inner circle on his retirement from the force. Having a legal degree, he decides to take on Washington by first staging a type of coup within the ranks of the NRA itself. Once establishing himself as its absolute ruler, with marketing know-how and political savvy, he turns the NRA into the most powerful single issue lobbying group in history in defiance of a recalcitrant Congress.
