Agnese Sanna

I’m Agnese Sanna, I was born on March, 18th, 1988 in Ancona, Italy, and I’ve always loved music.

Since I was in my mother’s tummy I’ve always listened to it. Growing up, my passion for music also grew so much that, when I was eleven, I began to play the piano on my own, self - taught. M y Music teacher at secondary school encouraged me so much that, at 14 years old, I started studying the piano at the conservatory and, after two years, at the musical academy of my town, too.

After getting The First Certificate in English, the Diploma in Music Theory and Solfeggio on September 2006 and the High School degree in foreign languages (English, French and German) in 2007, I continued my musical studies at the University of Rome where I got Bachelor’s Degree in Music on December 2011 with full marks with honor and, on May 2014, Master Degree in Music, with magna cum laude and my thesis published on the net. At the same time, while studying, I’ve always played with bands, choirs, accompaining singers and songwriters at the piano, arranging songs for them for shows and studio recordings.

I wrote my first instrumental piano solo arrangement of “You’re beautiful” by James Blunt at the age of 17. From that point on I’ve been writing instrumental arrangements for piano solo and for piano and orchestra of famous Pop italian and international songs. Meanwhile, 5 years ago, I discovered that I could express myself through composition, so I’ve been writing music for piano solo and orchestra so far. “The Hero” is my most recent composition that had the chance to be listened in the U.S.A. in a Los Angeles Radio on August September and October 2015. On January and February 2016 the same composition has been on air on Awarded London’s “Reaction Radio”. The 1st February I won the online competition “De la creatividad al Piano” with my composition “Vincio’s Theme”. On March 2016 an article about my musical life appeared here in Italy on several online musical magazines. On April I had an article with review of my music on the national Canadian “Lover’s Magazine” and on May I was at number 3 of Lover’s magazine #top10 in Canada. The same month I had an article – review of my music signed by New York’s “Artist Reach” which promotes indie and emerging artists from all over the world. At the end of month I’ve been selected to play in Miami for next October 2016 at the World Standard Audio indie showcase, selected between 12 artists from all over the world.

Now I’m teaching music, directing a kids’ choir and playing around Italy for several musical projects and I’m writing new music, happy to work with it and finishing recording my last compositions; I do dream and hope to go around the world to play them with orchestras.
