SYNOPSIS:

"Chi-City" is a crime drama written along the lines of such shows as "The Wire" and "Empire" with a violent streak of "American Horror Story." The series is about The Philips family; an African American crime dynasty that secretly runs the cold streets of Chicago's South side. In the pilot Manny Philips is released from a 7 year prison sentence the day after his younger brother Jahmere Philips, a drug dealer, is murdered in cold blood. Manny returns home with plans of leaving his life of crime in the past, but when the sultry matriarch of The Philips clan forces Manny to search for his brother's killer, it ignites a long time war between two of Chicago's most dangerous gangs, and within the family itself.
