Sophie Wallis

I am the Theatre Manager of the New Diorama, an 80 seat theatre located in central London. We host and support theatre companies and ensembles, both emerging and established, and have been open since April 2010. In that time we have been awarded 2 prestigious Peter Brook Awards, firstly in recognition of establishing a London home for ensemble companies, and most recently for our support of associate company Faction Theatre's Repertory Season in January 2012.

As Theatre Manager my role is incredibly varied and rewarding, key responsibilities comprising building management and coordination of all of our visiting companies. I also deal with all our corporate clients, as the space is regularly utilised by a broad range of clients, both from the business estate in which we reside and from further afield in London. I am responsible for website and box office management, as well as overseeing the venue's marketing. As a small team of 3 we undertake all duty management shifts in addition to our other key responsibilities.
