More and more actors seem to be dropping their fan pages on FB, and was wondering if others are seeing the same pattern. Maybe it's lack of traffic/activity. People go there once to like it and never go back? Or is it that FB's had more makeovers than a bad movie script? My FB never really went anywhere over a 2 year period, and I did add new content once or twice a week. Worked pretty hard promoting it as well. Granted, I'm not the most fanable actor in the world, but still. Just getting to 200 was a beast. On the other hand, this site is growing fast, and lots more actors are getting on Twitter now. Maybe more fun, and easier to promote? Thoughts?

Happy Holiday To All! I have mostly focused on acting for the past 15 or so years of my career. Resently, I was forced to learn the inns/outs of producing low budget Indies from the ground up. I wrote this beautiful social issue film that I am compelled to make, but with little to no funds at the moment, I'm finding it challenging to get experienced producers aboard. (Even though they say they love the story.) " I cant jump in right now with no $, I have to feed my family, Great script, but call me when you get the funds...This is what I have been hearing. Which, I can understand. Several have even called me back to see if I have the money yet. It's been a 2 year climb after a 4 year painful struggle to write it,which I thought had to be the toughest part. I was wrong! Raising funds today, even from family and friends is challenging. I always thought Real- Producers would help you raise funds if they believe in your story. I always thought part of their job is to connect you to an EXEXUTIVE producer??. ......The Title "PRODUCER" today is used very loosely. I very often find different opinions of its functions. Does an experienced producer usually connect you to finance??? And if so, is there anyone on stage 32 looking for a special script? A project they would consider raising funds for ?(if they thought it was special enough, of course)????

On Sunday, December 9th, at 8pm, the Christmas film I wrote for Hallmark, "Help for the Holidays" with Summer Glau and Eva LaRue, premiers on the Hallmark Channel. I've had a chance to see it already and am very proud of the way it turned out. Writing for them was a wonderful experience and has opened other doors. I am grateful to my manager for putting me in the room with them and grateful for the opportunity. Thank you God.

Can anyone recomend a producer that will help me raise capital for my feature film Yesterday's Ticket?? Is there any serios producers out there that wants to get involved in a special script with a special message? If so, please let me know....I have 80% of the project set, including cast, DP, line producer, locations and so on. I just need $$$$. My budget is 150K. It has been an interesting journey..I decided to build the project without $$ in hopes that it would find it's way to me by the time I was ready to go to pre-production. Well, that was September. Since last winter, I have applied for several grants, met with several organizations connected to the social issue of the film, approached numerous corp for product placement and have met with at least 6 individual potential investors. For some reason it just hasn't fell into place. I'm losing steam and need to find a reputable, experienced producer who works with mid level Indies. Any Ideas???
