About Michael

Michael Fels graduated from Five Towns College with a BFA in Film and Video in 2009. Michael had the pleasure of working with Academy Award winner Luke Matheny right of of college. Other NYU grad films he worked on in various departments went to Sundance, Cannes Film Festival, and countless others. Michael quickly started work on indie shorts, features, music videos (including Mavado feat. Nicky Minaj), a PSA for the military, and commericals. Michael's formal training and many on set experience since 2009 as a producer, 1st assistant director, and co-director have given him great management skills from preproduction, production, to post production. Negotiating, hiring, and creating contracts for crew that benefited both the client and the contractor is deeply important to Michael. Lighting is another speiality of Michael Fels as he is a Gaffer, Key Grip, Best Boy, Grip, and Electric as well. Michael has used his formal training to work as a casting director for indie projects to ensure the best talent can be brought to the table. Michael's work as a sceen writer and script revisionist have made projects more creative, easier to film, audience friendly, and more cost effective. Michael's reliable nature, managing skills, and quick problem solving skills are what every set needs.
