Glynis Terborg

Glynis Terborg, known as the author and illustrator of the Dutch picture book Max en zijn koffer is currently writing two new children’s books that will be published in 2013. Besides that she is engaged in writing scripts and plays.
She was born in 1973 in Paramaribo, raised in Brabant and the owner of Glynis Creations a company that specializes in developing educational products for children. Glynis develops art, activities and projects targeting specific wishes of companies and individuals.
Her motto therefore is : From Vision to Form…
Glynis is also the artistic leader of the theater production buro Mathurin Management. In this position she is responsible for the organization of events (e.g. the successful New Young Leader Awardshow) theater productions and in-company theatrical performances.
In addition she writes and leads the short custom made cabaret performances during meetings in the business sector and other organizations. Among which for example: Price Waterhouse Coopers, FNV, Albert Heijn , several governmental institutions, Schiphol, Vendex KBB, various educational organization, ABN AMRO, Rabobank, Mentrum, Agis, Ahold, various foundations and building cooperatives.
This proves Glynis has both artistic and organizational qualities. Designing theater sets, writing texts for theater shows, organizing events, negotiating about contracts, you name it she does it all. ‘I have never felt the need to confine myself to one specialism. At the production of the show ‘Mathurin Meets Music’ for example I was the producer, I designed the décor and I acted as a backing vocalist. On top of that I write children’s books and scripts. I love it.’
