SYNOPSIS:

1 / 3 ERIC JOHNSON is a tired office worker who finds himself caught up in the middle of a conflict with gangster, VINCENT SANTINO and rogue handler FRANK MORGAN in the midst of the trial of Vincent’s older brother, MICHAEL. While Eric appears to be just a mild mannered office worker, it’s very clear he is a man who is waiting for something, which arrives in the shape of three packages. Eric’s long term handler, and sort of buddy, Frank Morgan has formed an uneasy alliance with volatile gangster, Vincent Santino who is enjoying his temporary stay at the top of the pile while his brother faces prison. Though the two may not like each other, they decide that they have a mutual interest in Michael’s incarceration and the elimination of the meddling Eric and so begin preparations to complete both goals. At the arrival of the third package Eric returns home to prepare himself for the mission ahead. In the packages he finds plane ticket, hotel room key, and a small white business card with a name printed on. When he lands at his destination he makes his way to meet Frank, with the intention of finding out his task and to get more information, but Frank is unable to aide him. Frank simply suggests Eric should seek out an audience with Vincent. Knowing that Vincent won’t just invite him in, Eric takes matters into his own hands and easily dispatches three of Vinnie’s goons to make a statement and lands himself a meeting in which Vincent provides Eric with the name of a plant on the jury at his brother’s trial, Eric’s target. While Vincent is forthcoming with the name, Eric is surprised to find it was not the name he’d already been given, on the business card in the package and realises that Frank has double crossed him. With Frank not knowing that Vincent has sold him out to Eric, Eric continues as normal deciding that dealing with Frank can wait. Frank however, has other plans and uses a meeting with Eric as an opportunity to take him out, sending hit man SAM in his place to get the job done. A joyous Frank begins to celebrate with a sceptical Vincent, who won’t believe Eric is dead until he sees a body, which can’t be found on inspection. Sam reveals himself to be Eric’s partner, having helped him all along due to the bureau knowing about Frank’s corruption. At the revelation of Eric still being alive Vincent readies his men to go to war, fearing his time may be up and Frank decides his best option is to run away, but he doesn’t get far before JOE, one of Vincent’s top enforcers catches him and returns him to his boss. Vincent’s hit squad, sent to Eric’s hotel is slaughtered with ease, as Sam tracks Frank to a garage where he is to be killed by Vincent. The arrival of Sam and Eric leads to a stand off between them all where Vincent’s betrayal 2 / 3 of his brother is revealed which leads to Joe shooting his boss and a shootout erupts. In the chaos Joe and Frank manage to escape, not before Frank takes the opportunity to kill Sam. Out for revenge, it doesn’t take Eric long to find Frank and kill him after which he quickly moves his attention to the juror. Knowing that Eric will come, Joe has taken the juror into his protection so he can safely escort him to the courthouse, however, Eric has already found them and attacks the convoy head on, taking out the many body guards until only he, Joe and the juror are left standing on the roof of a building. An albeit brief stand off ensues, before the juror shoots Joe and is in turn shot by Eric, falling from the roof of the building as a result. With his mission complete, Eric returns to his day-to-day desk job to wait for his next set of packages. On his return he is introduced to his a new handler, a complete rookie to the company who Eric will need to show the ropes.
