About Suzanne

Hello Everyone,
My mother and I started screenwriting 20 years ago. I had just started "The Royal Treatment" Pet Sitting business and was quite busy. In fact, my mom occasionally took on my excess jobs so we were very close. We were also huge movie fans, especially comedy, so in between dog walks and litter box scoopings, we watched every movie we could. We were even fortunate enough to bump into the Farrelly Brothers at the premiere of "There's Something About Mary". I took a chance and pitched an idea to Bobby and he kind of shook his head, sighed deeply and said "well, send me the script". I had zero experience so I sent a monstrosity which he kindly responded with "this is NOT the way to write a screenplay" however, he was kind enough to guide me in the right direction. Thank you, Bobby, by the way.
So we took the classes, read as many screenplays we could get our hands on, and sat down and wrote what we knew and loved best. PET SITTING! Cut to 15 years later and after numerous drafts, lots of phone hang-ups and some downright nasty mother-daughter fights, we garnered a RECOMMEND from Script Pipeline. "The Pet Sitter" has been optioned many times but unfortunately has stalled in casting.
Mom and I now have five full-length feature screenplays and a dozen shorts under our belt. We've come in as a semi-finalist on one of our comedies and several shorts and came in third place in funny-animal-video contest that landed us in NYC with LeAnn Rimes. My talented husband put together a Website (WWW.SCREENFEMS.COM) displaying our work as well as 60-second trailers of each screenplay.
Sadly, my mother developed Alzheimer's two years ago and now has no recollection of our work. The devastation of this event caused me much heartache and the inability to write on my own. So I shoved all our work in the closet where it just collected dust. But after learning to deal with the loss of my mom, I'm proud to say I have dug out the screenplays and am currently updating and rewriting where necessary. I told myself I need to do this for her. Thanks for listening, everyone. XO
