Sole heir to her estranged father's business built on crime, an Oxford Freshman is thrown into a fight for her life while acing her next Ethics exam. 

SYNOPSIS:

After her father, Sean, whom she’s believed to be dead her whole life, is killed, LaTasha is made sole heir to his business empire built on the premise of things not entirely legal. A mob boss back in his youth, he’d turned a new leaf and started leading a legit lifestyle before his murder, along with his entire family, by his own brother, Ryan.

Assuming leadership of the Irish gang known as the Crossroads, Ryan has plans or turning back to the original goal: building the family empire as far and wide as possible, taking anyone who gets in his way down, including his surprise niece. He sends someone to finish her off.

Located in Oxford, attending University, LaTasha is leading a typical Freshman’s life. Thoughts as to how she can afford the top-graded single dorm room or the new Vespa she uses to get around campus, don’t occur to her until Ronan pops in to demolish everything that’s normal in her life by telling her about her estranged father. Having always kept an eye on her growing up, Sean had set up a hedge fund account of 20 million dollars of which she alone has access to. As long as she’s alive that is.

Ronan isn’t new to how things work in the Family, but he’s also been kept a secret from the rest of the gang, just like his charge, LaTasha. Employed to protect her by his previous patriarch, his loyalty is thicker than water.

Excelled in martial arts; jui jitsu and tae kwon do, LaTasha can handle herself in a fight. But Ronan is there when Ryan’s man, Charlie, shoots her friend, missing LaTasha. Together, her and Ronan take him down. Though, that’s not the end of it. Ryan won’t stop until he has full control over the monies he feels are rightfully his along with the Family business.
