I hope everyone is doing well this Sunday. As for me, things are progressing well (can always be better, but I have learned to appreciate what I have and do not bemoan what I do not). I have a TV Pilot that is currently a Semi-Finalist on ScreenCraft (be a great way to start '19 if it Won/Finalist). Plus I started a new Screenplay. The aim is combining "The Candidate" with "Network". If I can come anywhere close to what is in my head I think I might something would be both timely and interesting/entertaining at the same time. It’s been a good year. Made QF in Nicholls and Page first year entering. Currently a Finalist in the Screencraft Drama. My goal for this year is to secure an agent or manager. I have three award winning screenplays and I’m writing my first Television pilot. Also co-directing and producing a documentary surrounding the tragic school shooting in my community of Parkland, Florida.

First I hope everyone is having a good weekend. After years of tweaks, rewrites, coverage and everything else you can think of I am finally excited to have a pilot that I humbly believe is ready to go to market. Now comes the interesting part of both selling myself and my project. I know people might really love the story and characters, however when it is all said and done they are buying you and your vision. As an outsider in the business that lives on the east coast I know it will be a challenge to accomplish my goal. Something I always believe in is nothing worth having comes easy. I know it will be an uphill battle, however if you have something in your core that you know can work it makes that fight so much easier. I always remember that in terms of original content it is easier to sell "The Same but Different". Have characters and a world we may be familiar with and throw in something different that is no where being shown today. So as someone with an MBA in Finance, BS in Political Science and a Data Analyst job I say hello to everyone and hope that no matter what background we come from we all get an opportunity to put our best foot forward and let the work speak for itself.
