I'm a self-motivated 34 year old writer currently based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne but born in Manchester. I have a vast range of hobbies which include reading, football and motor racing. All of the time which used to be spent on these hobbies now shared with looking after my two year old son, Owen, which is why I have not kicked a ball in two years. The added bonus of this is I do not have to run around for ninety minutes! Writing has always been a passion of mine throughout my life. From when, in primary school I wrote 'The cow that went to London' to a poem when I was fifteen for my English class about a family weekend holiday in Blackpool, which received rave reviews and made poem of the week. Writing and creating is one thing I have always been good at. When I got older, in my early 20's (feels a lifetime ago sadly!) I was writing music and lyrics, and very good I was too but I always had a voice in my head telling me to write a screenplay, but once I had written one, I now cannot stop. The creative flow and turning one seed of an idea into something far bigger is a real buzz and the feeling when you complete your work is second to none, same as with hearing your words and music coming back at you from a speaker but with a much bigger feeling of satisfaction. Writing screenplays really does take you to another world and I feel privileged in being able to offer another world for people to see.
