Dilia Pacheco Méndez is a director and producer from the Dominican Republic. Her directorial debut is “Girasol” (2016), a feature-length film which won “Best Feature Film” at the Toronto Independent Film Awards, TIFA (2017) and was nominated for “Best Opera Prima” at the Ibero-America Premios Platinum, as well as at the Dominican Premios La Silla.
From TV commercials to short and feature films, Pacheco has directed and produced various projects including “Nuria” (2012) a prime time TV investigative journalism program along the lines of 48 Hours and 60 Minutes. Currently, Pacheco is developing her second feature, entitled, “All Its Glory”(2019), a crime drama, dark comedy genre film.
In 2013 she founded PMS Productions, a full-service production company that provides local film crews, crew assistance and support for both national and international clients. PMS manages productions for international companies, as well as national commercial agencies developing music videos, documentaries, animations, commercial videos and independent features.
