Stephanie Hodson

I'm a freelance writer with over 20 years' experience, mainly in the marketing and advertising sectors. Projects included scripts for TV and radio commercials, as well as slide shows, presentations and speeches. .
My first ambition in life was to be a playwright and in the distant past I attended a workshop hosted by Alan Bleasdale (Boys from the Blackstuff; The Monocled Mutineer) when he was writer-in-residence for Contact, a repertory theatre in Manchester. Although the need to earn a living, family commitments and lack of time forced me to put such ambitions on hold, they have recently enjoyed a renaissance with several commissions including a theatre-in-education script for The Big Act, a series of pantomimes for a professional touring company, scripting for a natural history production team, and screenplays.
